70% Tizon Estate Chocolate Bar
Tizon estate is a century-old farm & home to heirloom cacao. These heirloom beans are very likely what the Spanish first planted in Philippines in the 15th century (which the Spanish brought from the Mayans and the Aztecs). The estate proudly boasts that their trees are naturally grown-- no chemical pesticides are used.
Much like how wine is fermented in choice wooden barrels, Tizon cacao beans are fermented in mahogany wood and jackfruit wood boxes.
We lovingly roast the beans and then begin the slow process of stone grinding and conching for up to 72 hours.
The bars have wonderful tasting notes of banana and hint of citrus fruits.. Made only with 2 ingredients (premium cacao beans and sugar), these are the natural flavors of the bean not added flavors
